Well, do I have a fun place for you to try. Right here in Humble, TX, just Northeast of Houston.
It’s called Tin Roof B-B-Q Texas.
We visited them last night, and boy, did we have fun — and very yummy food, and nice cold beers, and listened to live music!
I was telling my sister that it felt more like I was at a festival rather than just going out for a barbecue dinner. And it really seemed like a hometown affair. I swear everyone in town just about came out on a nice chilly Saturday night.
The first thing to do when you arrive is get in line. Which, since we had a semi-large group, us ladies scouted for a table, which didn’t take but just a few minutes to find, and the guys got in line to order. The band was already getting geared up to play some tunes and the kids were having fun playing in the playground. It was all very festive when we arrived around 5:30 in the evening.
Tin Roof offers both outdoor and indoor seating. We chose outside since there was such a fun party atmosphere out there.
There are no servers here, you wait in line to order, then take it to your table. I think it adds to the fun. We got a bucket of beer since we weren’t sure if we’d have to get back in line and wait for a while to get a refill (the line never shortened, this is a very popular spot on a Saturday night!), but we later learned that you can go inside through the door on the other side and get a beer or whatever you’re wanting to get. The indoor seating is through there as well as the restrooms.
And now for the food!! YUMMMMM!!!
I got the Chopped Beef Brisket Stuffed Potato. Wow, was it HUGE! Filled to over capacity with butter, sour cream, cheese, green onions, and loads of beef! It was very very tasty and needless to say, I could not finish the whole thing. My Corona was nice and chilled.
Brennen (my Son) seemed to enjoy his sandwich, can you tell?
There was even someone making cotton candy. See, I told you it was like being at a festival!
We all really enjoyed ourselves and plan to return again soon. We hope to see you there as well.
Tin Roof B-B-Q is located at 18918 Town Center Blvd. in Atascocita, Texas. You can visit their website for directions, see the complete menu, and read all about this locally owned Barbecue Restaurant that is definitely bringing the fun and Yum, and live entertainment every Saturday night!
OH — And another shout-out to our local craft brewery, Back Pew Brewing! They had ice cold Hopostle IPA on tap — We really enjoyed that!
And till next time, stay wonderful!
